Research Subject Advocate (RSA) Services:

*
Serve as a resource for GCRC investigators and their staff members regarding issues related to subject rights, safety and safe conduct of research in humans.
*
Assist investigators in development or evaluation of Data Safety Monitoring Plans.
*
Serve as a resource for patients who have questions about their rights as research subjects and their participation in research protocols.
*
Monitor the informed consent process for studies utilizing vulnerable subjects, or on an as needed basis determined by Principal Investigator or the Institutional Review Board.
