Resources and Equipment

The following special equipment is available in the CTU facility:

• NURSING UNIT: Cardiac monitors, IMED IV infusion pumps, autosyringe pumps, IVAC IV infusion pumps, DINAMAP blood pressure monitors, Glucometer, Deltatrack indirect calorimetry, Beckman & YSI glucose analyzers, equipment for hydrostatic measurement.
  
• BIONUTRITION: Dexa scanner, and Exercise room.
• CORE LABORATORY: Bio-Rad Variant, Flame Photometer IL943, Perkin Elmer Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, YSI STAT 2300 Analyzer, Beckman DU520 Spectrophotometer, Gamma Counter GENESYS 5000
• COMPUTER FACILITY: Ethernet local area network with connectivity to CTU Network Resources, UH, USC, and the rest of the Internet. There are four PC Workstations and one Mac Workstation allotted for Investigator use. One HP 4600 Color Laser Printer and a HP 8000 laser Printer are available to print lab results or Investigator documents
